Alan Heath is the CEO of UMR Communications, Inc., parent company of the United Methodist Reporter. He was executive director of First United Methodist Church in McKinney, Texas, from 2006 to 2011. He worked for Taylor Publishing Co., in Dallas, for 25 years, ultimately serving as vice president of communications and vice president of collegiate sales. He taught journalism at Ambassador University in Big Sandy, Texas, from 1971 to 1978. Mr. Heath is a longtime member of Kavanaugh UMC in Greenville, Texas. He and wife Carole Ann have two grown children and four grandchildren.

Managing editor Robin Russell, an award-winning religion writer with a decade of newspaper experience, became editor of the United Methodist Reporter in September 2005. She has covered religion as a staff writer for the Longview (Texas) News-Journal and a freelance writer for The Dallas Morning News. Ms. Russell has earned first-place writing awards from the Religion Newswriters Association, the Texas Headliners Foundation and the Texas Associated Press Managing Editors. Since coming to the Reporter, she has achieved national recognition from the Associated Church Press, the Religion Communicator’s Council and the United Methodist Association of Communicators. She has a journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler, and has taught journalism at LeTourneau University.

R. John Greenberger, Chief Operating and Financial Officer for UMR Communications, has over 20 years of experience in multifamily, commercial and retail real estate. John was a consultant with Andersen Consulting (Accenture); with the Hines organization, where he was the Manager of Systems Development, Corporate Controller and the Director of Planning; as well as being a consultant working with such clients as JPI and Trammell Crow. His consulting experience has covered a broad range of multifamily issues, including operations, budgeting, IT and ancillary income programs. John holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science and an M.S. in Economics from Baylor University.

Ms. Fielder manages UMR's major denominational newspaper accounts and relates to customers on local, regional and national levels. A graduate of UMC-related McMurry College, Ms. Fielder has more than 30 years experience in sales, customer service, product design and news writing at UMR. She is a member of Plymouth Park UMC, Irving.

Wendy Campbell works with churches and other nonprofits to increase the effectiveness of their communications. Her nonprofit and faith-based marketing skills combine with her business and sales experience to help UMR’s customers choose the right blend of print media for their goals. Wendy has worked in high tech sales, been a fundraiser for non-profit organizations, and has run her own email marketing company focused on small businesses and nonprofits. She has a business degree from the University of Kansas and a Graduate Marketing Certificate from Southern Methodist University. Wendy has long been involved in United Methodist Women, including leadership at the local, district and conference levels, and currently serves as the Communications Officer for the North Texas Conference UMW. She and her family are members at Dallas’ Lovers Lane UMC.

Rev. Colan partners with churches and other organizations to extend and deepen their mission messages. She is a Provisional Deacon with the Florida Conference of The United Methodist Church and a 2006 graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary. Michelle has worked with several Florida UM Districts as a communications specialist, as staff with Samaritan's Purse: Operation Christmas Child, and as Director of Serving Ministries with her local church. With an MBA from Rollins College and 15 years of experience in Human Resource Management working for several major corporations, Michelle brings a unique set of skills to UMR in communication, organizational development, event planning, and special-focus ministry.

Ms. Graham uses her experience in communications, sales and customer relations to cultivate relationships with organizations that can benefit from advertising in the United Methodist Reporter and the UMPortal. She has been a conference communicator, a local church communicator, and a consultant specializing in church communication, marketing and crisis planning.
Liz Applegate

Ms. Applegate works with UMR’s web presence, UMPortal.org, and finds ways to grow connections within the United Methodist Church using new media strategies. Previously, Liz was director of communication at a large and growing United Methodist church in the Dallas area as well as a consultant for nonprofit and small businesses for social media and digital marketing. Liz and her family are active members of First United Methodist Church Plano where she serves as a Stephen Minister, youth counselor, adult studies facilitator and as a member of various committees.
Erika Dorsey joined the staff at UMR in January of 2008. She has more than 15 years experience in the design, prepress, production and printing fields. In her previous position with a division of The Richards Group, her clients included The Home Depot, Chick-fil-A and Baylor Health Care Systems. Ms. Dorsey's experience helping her own church, First UMC of Terrell, with their printed materials led her to UMR. She enjoys using her gifts and talents to help other churches and non-profit organizations.

Currently overseeing the Customer Relations staff, Ms. Christian has been a vital part of UMR since 1975. She works closely with churches and denominational groups to produce quality publications. Ms. Christian holds a journalism degree from Texas Tech University and is both the national President for the Religion Communicators Council and an officer for the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of RCC.
